She’s Bulletproof ‘absolutely spot on’ for Group 1 Oakleigh Plate at Caulfield
An excited Charlotte Littlefield will saddle her first Group 1 runner in the Oakleigh Plate knowing she has a live chance in She’s Bulletproof.

Feisty sprinter She’s Bulletproof is “absolutely spot on” for the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield.
She’s Bulletproof, an emphatic Group 3 Geoffrey Bellmaine Stakes (1200m) winner last start at Sandown, has fast and firm conditions to suit on Saturday.
A middle barrier (eight) should also afford She’s Bulletproof, trained by Charlotte Littlefield, the perfect run even if posted wide.

“She can do it hard as well, three-wide no cover,” Littlefield said.
“I think that’s the best way to ride her.
“She hates being on the fence. She hates being covered up. She likes a bit of room.
“She’s a big girl, so I think ride her a bit ugly is the best way to ride her.
“She’ll be just behind them and pouncing late, we know she can pick up off a good tempo.”
She’s Bulletproof is a $5 second favourite for the Oakleigh Plate behind Estriella ($4.20).
The four-year-old mare with attitude has won four of 11 starts and placed six times.

“She’s a different kettle of fish, she’s a different animal,” Littlefield said.
“It’s interesting when you’ve got a horse of that quality, their mannerisms, she doesn’t need humans.
“She’s got that really strong mare attitude and tells you to get effed pretty much every day but we love that, it’s what makes her tough.
“But then she comes to the races and her head goes to the ground, she walks around like an old timer.
“She’s just the greatest horse to have around, never puts in unless you ask her to and then she lets rip.”

Littlefield is excited to saddle her first Group 1 starter on Saturday.
“It’s massive. I’ve been one to always carefully place my horses … so it’s exciting to have a Group 1 runner and with a live chance makes it more special,” Littlefield said.
“She deserves her place … hopefully everything falls into place and comes together on Saturday, we don’t want to be there to make up numbers.”
