Nice win on the heavy at Dubbo three starts back. Drops in grade from his close third at Coffs Harbour last start.

NEXT BEST

Race 7 No.11: Royale Veloute

Broke her maiden with a smart win at Hawkesbury before going down by a nose here last time out.

INSIDE MAIL – NEWCASTLE

RACE 1

Kazotsky was down the track in two runs in Queensland late last year before a change of stable. Has been good in both recent trials with a win at Hawkesbury on July 8 after sitting outside the leader. Close second to Just Chill in his latest trial there on Aug 5. Master Riley was good in both runs in his first campaign. Will benefit from his first-up third at Moruya. Ramius has claims on his two recent placings.

Bet: Kazotsky each-way

RACE 2

Copacabana went back to last from the outside gate and worked home along the fence to finish third behind Bauhinia and Maori Chief when giving away plenty of weight first-up here on Aug 8. Placed his first three starts before contesting the Caulfield Guineas last year. Maracaibo Sun led and was caught late by Montana Dawn over this track and distance last start. Blinkers go on. Wexford Miss will be improved by her first-up fourth at Hawkesbury.

Bet: Copacabana to win

RACE 3

Let’s Go Bro boxed on for fifth top Gold Pattern in a Bm72 Midway at Rosehill last start. He will appreciate the drop back in grade and the inside gate. Was fourth to Amicus Curiae at his last run here three starts back. Northern Eyes found the 1000m too short first-up but it topped him off to win his next two starts over 1300m at Hawkesbury. Has placed over a mile so the 1500m won’t be an issue. Pluckten was a Hawkesbury Class 1 winner before an eighth in a Midway at Rosehill.

Bet: Let’s Go Bro each-way

RACE 4

Fun Sunday has continued to improve through her preparation which started with a third over 1500m at Kembla, two runs just behind the placegetters at Warwick Farm and Canterbury and a strong closing last start win over 2000m at Kembla. She looks like she will have no trouble with the 2200m. Fioprospero is also in terrific form with a win over 1895m at Newcastle followed by a fourth at Hawkesbury over 1800m. Luconi drops back from a fourth on the Kensington.

Bet: Fun Sunday each-way

RACE 5

Snow In May had trialled well and was sent to Wagga for her debut in May where she did it easily from Due Calzini. Back from a spell and has been good in both trials. Mogul Monarch was very good winning his two recent trials before kicking off his campaign with a smart all-the-way win by nearly two lengths from Dyami over 1100m at Hawkesbury. Contrived has come back better this time in with a narrow first-up win before a fourth to Party Doll at Hawkesbury.

Bet: Snow In May to win

RACE 6

Take Achance On Me is a first starter by Snitzel and a descendant of the blue hen Fanfreluche. Was third to Autumn Glow in her March trial. Recently, she raced on speed to win her Rosehill trial on Aug 6 before a fast closing third to First Mission there on Aug 20. Spirit Of Wealth is a debutant by Capitalist from the Leica Show family. Has shown good speed to win both recent trials at Randwick, the latest by over three lengths from Polymnia on Aug 19. Tonkatsu Goddess was a nose second to Retainer at Kembla first-up. Will be prominent again.

Bet: Take Achance On Me to win

RACE 7

Write This Way was good in winning a Class 1 at Nowra in February and followed up with a handy fourth behind Countyourblessings and Groundrush in a 3YO Bm64 at Canterbury. Pulled up lame at her last run at Gosford and spelled. Shalook wasn’t far away first-up before a third to Headstock and Colours Of Autumn at Kembla 12 days ago. Kirragirl didn’t handle the heavy conditions on the Kensington first-up. Don’t underestimate her back on good ground.

Bet: Write This Way to win

RACE 8

Unwritten has had a long campaign but is racing with great consistency. Good win at Goulburn three start back before a second to The Extreme Cat at Hawkesbury and a second to Denman Star here last start. Carpaccio has been beaten as favourite when placed in both runs this time in. Sat outside the leader when third to Dreams OF Thunder at Wyong first-up before a third to Denman Star. French Marine was rewarded for a consistent campaign with a win from Princess Cruizer here last start.

Bet: Unwritten each-way
