You couldn’t book a tee time at Maleny Golf Club for three days after Adam Scott’s livestream from the course last Friday put it on the map.
The nine-hole stroll on Instagram with manager-pro Wayne Perske showed how much fun you could have on a scenic and challenging par-68 course with plenty of elevation changes.
Length doesn’t always matter in golf.

The course at Maleny only recently went from 12 to 18 holes, so it is still a one-tee start which means a full book of starters is only 90-odd players per day in twos at 10-minute intervals.
Curious golf lovers from New York, London, Thailand, India and across Australia were among those who tuned in.
As ever, what Scott does off-camera for no kudos is one of his most endearing traits.
When he played at Maleny earlier last week, Perske’s son Billy, 13, was eyeing off the flash putter in the 2013 Masters champion’s bag.
The following day Scott arrived at the course with a Scotty Cameron putter as a gift for the youngster. Wow.
Just a quiet whisper but expect a royal tour of Caloundra Golf Club some time in the future from Scott-cam.
