Fans in the United States have been left baffled by the unexplained mystery surrounding the moment Rutgers coach Greg Schiano vanished into thin air.
The college football coach was letting his players have it in a team huddle during his team’s 24-7 loss to Northwestern on Sunday (AEDT) when he mysteriously disappeared on the live TV broadcast.
In the Big Ten Network’s live feed, Schiano turned way at the end of the huddle and exited stage left as he walked past stationary players.
The viral clip posted on Twitter shows Schiano never made it out to the other side of the huddle.
Fans are still scratching their heads over the apparent optical illusion.
ESPN’s Barstool account tweeted the video with a caption: “Greg Schiano just disappeared into another dimension”.
Sports reporter Josh Sanchez posted: “How the hell did Greg Schiano just vanish into thin air”.

Schiano was eventually found, but after losing to their division rivals he may have wanted to disappear again.
“It’s very disappointing,” Schiano said after the game.
“We certainly have to assess where we are and why we’re here, and see what we can do to fix it. Some of it is personnel, some of it is execution. We’re trying to find an answer.”
