Carlton has turned to former Tiger Callum Moore to solve its tall-forward crisis.
With stars Harry McKay and Charlie Curnow to miss Round 1, the former Richmond forward has joined the Blues as a supplementary period signing.
The 23-year-old had signed with VFL club Coburg after being delisted by the Tigers.
He looms as a potential Round 1 bolter and could partner Mitch McGovern in attack against his old side at the MCG next Thursday.
Moore won a three-way race for a spot on Carlton’s list after the Blues trialled former Western Bulldogs midfielder Lukas Webb and young defender Ryan Sturgess after placing first-round draftee Brodie Kemp on the long-term injury list.
Big news, everyone!

“Callum has done everything he could ever since being invited to train with the playing group. We’re delighted to add him to our football club,” Blues list manager Nick Austin said.
“He’s a really impressive athlete and has shown that he’s a difficult match-up for opposition defenders. We think he’s going to add a new element to our group with his size and speed.
“Callum has been one of the best forwards in the VFL for a long period of time and we believe he’s an AFL talent.

“He has fit in well amongst the playing group and he has earned his spot. We’re looking forward to seeing what he has to offer.”
Moore has been one of the VFL’s most-prolific forwards in the past three years, booting 56 goals in 40 games.
The 193cm forward played eight AFL games for Richmond, including six in 2018.
