A Brisbane shopping centre is giving away 1.8 tonnes of free chocolate this year in what is billed as Brisbane’s biggest Easter egg hunt.

INDOOROOPILLY Shopping Centre will be hosting the city’s biggest free Easter egg event with a giant maze for children to hunt for their chocolate favourites.

The Easter bunny will be leaving treats at the shopping centre’s festive maze throughout the school holidays.

More than one tonne (1.2kg) of chocolate for children to find in the Giant Easter Maze and 600kg of sweet surprises for families are up for grabs in its Easter Bunny Hunt.

The Giant Easter Maze encourages children to challenge themselves and find Easter surprises along the way.

The Easter Bunny Hunt includes 20 kindies and schools showcasing their creative skills in a gallery of artworks.

The Easter Bunny will be there every weekend from 10am-4pm and customers can win a $500 Indooroopilly Shopping Spree when they snap a photo of their family enjoying Brisbane’s Chocolatiest Easter and tag #INDROEASTER.

There is even free childcare available.

The Giant Easter Maze runs until this Sunday, level 1, near Coles.

The Easter Bunny Hunt is also on until Sunday, during normal trading hours.

To start, collect an Easter Bunny Hunt passport from the Level 1 Pop Up Information Desk.
