A chocolatier south of Brisbane is offering a magical experience for kids these Easter holidays — to create their own chocolate eggs. And kids are going cocoa loco for the classes.

A chocolatier south of Brisbane is taking a leaf from Willy Wonka’s book, offering magical chocolate making classes for kids these Easter holidays.
Poppy’s Chocolate is offering to teach kids how to make and decorate their own eggs ahead of Easter Sunday.
Chocolatier Amanda Holland said it was the first time the Easter classes had been offered at the Beenleigh factory- and parents were hopping at the chance to get involved.
“We’ve been run off our feet, the phone hasn’t stopped ringing,” she said.

The chocolate making experience costs $20 per child and is run out of the factory on Spanns Rd.
There are also “choc and chat” tours available year-round, that cost $9 and include a tour, tasting and goodie bag.
Owner and self-confessed chocoholic Lynda Pedder opened the business 14 years ago.
“I was told do what your passionate about and the money will follow,” she said.
“Well I was passionate about chocolate.”
Poppy’s now make 500 tonnes of chocolate a year that is distributed across Australia, on Jetstar planes, and at luxury hotels like the Palazzo Versace at the Gold Coast.
