Sunnybank Hills man allegedly kidnapped, tasered and extorted by ex-girlfriend’s new partner
A Brisbane southside man was having a quiet Sunday night at home when a dozen men allegedly arrived at his door demanding payment for a loan, bundling him into a car and speeding off, police say.
A BRISBANE resident has endured a terrifying experience overnight, allegedly being kidnapped from his southside home by a dozen men demanding payment of a loan they claim was made to the victim by his then-girlfriend, who police say is now dating one of the alleged kidnappers.
Police say that approximately 5.50pm on Lang St, Sunnybank Hills, two males knocked on the 35-year-old victim’s door while accompanied by “a large group of unknown persons, approximately 11 – 12 of them”.

“The two offenders have had a conversation with the victim and coerced him to accompany him outside and to their vehicle which was parked in the street,” Acacia Ridge Police Station OIC Ian Cameron said.
“During his conversations with the offenders he discovered one of the males was now dating the victim’s ex-partner.”
The offenders then allegedly pushed the victim into the back seat of a red sedan, sitting on either side of him.
“The offenders have then demanded a large amount of cash (some $3000) that was a previous loan from the ex-partner to the male victim. He was then assaulted by the two offenders, one of whom produced a small taser-type device and tasered him in the stomach,” Snr Sgt Cameron said.
“The two men stated if the victim did not pay by next week they will come back. He was then pushed out of the vehicle and returned to his house.”
Officers from the Acacia Ridge police CIB are investigating.
