A convicted child sex offender from Durack has landed back in court after breaching his suspended sentence.

Dallas John Sloper, 24, pleaded guilty in Brisbane District Court on Monday to two counts of breaching a suspended sentence.

It comes after Sloper pleaded guilty to four counts of carnal knowledge with or of children under 16 and three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 on November 4, 2020.

The court heard Sloper was aged 19-20 when he committed the offences against a 15-year-old complainant over a two-week period in 2017.

Judge Ian Dearden ordered him to serve a 15-month head sentence suspended for two years.

However, he breached the suspended sentence twice after failing to comply with reporting and failing to inform the police he’d changed the nature of his employment on January 24, 2022.

Sloper’s lawyer told the court his client’s breaches were minor and said he was self-employed and changed who he was a subcontracting for.

Judge Katherine McGinness said it would be unjust to activate the suspended sentence and extend it for a period of one week.
