Jean Eichhorn owns Magnifique Salons and has been in the hairdressing industry for 28 years.

She has worked in various salons around the world, managing and training staff.

“I have been extremely lucky to have worked as a hairdresser in the UK, US and now Australia,” she said.

Ms Eichhorn opened her first Magnifique Salon in Orion Springfield Central in 2019, followed by a second salon in Forest Lake Shopping Centre in July last year.

“I always believed that five-star service and quality hair should be for everybody, so I created a beautiful boutique salon,” she said.

“I am blessed to own two fantastic salons and have the most amazing stylists.”

“I love the creativity in this industry, it’s always changing and evolving.

“There is always something new to learn and at Magnifique Salons we’re right on the frontline of education.

“I have also been involved in many fundraising and charity events. We love to stay connected with the community.”

Ms Khan, who has been in the industry for 18 years, opened the Redbank Plains salon in 2017.

“We love what we do and being a part of this community, which has supported me and my family for the last five years.

“For the past two years, we have been heavily involved with the Pioneer Basketball Club in Springfield by sponsoring them.”

Ms Khan, who is also a mother of four, prides herself on offering affordable prices to her clients.

She recently moved her business to her home for this reason.

“We would have had to put our prices up dramatically if we stayed with the shop front,” she said.

“I believe everyone deserves some self care and to look and feel amazing at a reasonable price.”

What has put this business on the map is its sustainable approach, with the salon recycling about 95 per cent of its waste.

ApaR Hair Studio has also topped Springfield’s best hairdresser list for three years in a row.

“As a child, I always admired how hair styles could not only change a look but also the confidence in a person,” she said.
