Ahead of the annual QGSSSA track and field championship, we reveal 50 QGSSSA sporting top guns - including three 2022 Commonwealth Games wildcard selections.

The annual QGSSSA track and field championship on Thursday will feature some of Queensland’s most exciting young sporting talent - including a 2022 Commonwealth Games sprint wildcard.
St Peters Lutheran College sprinter Torrie Lewis has a blistering 11.56secs as a 100m PB and continued improvement will see her on the brink of selection as a relay team member - along with her school mate Hilal Durmaz who is only a whisker behind her.
Also watch for St Peters Lutheran College Springfield campus swimmer Ella Ramsay to push for the 2022 Games.
Here is a snapshot of the top sporting talent within the QGSSSA this year across a variety of sports, many of whom are athletes who will feature at the QGSSSA track and field championship.

MORETON BAY COLLEGE WIN 2020 CHAMPIONSHIP
BRISBANE STATE HIGH SCHOOL
Keira Moore: Ranked third in the Australian 16 years 3000m age group, Moore is the 2020 Queensland Champion 800m in her age group. It is little wonder she can run - mum is a Sydney 2000 Olympian (triathlon) and her sister Nikita was an Australian representative at the world cross country championship.
Lara Roberts: One of the best, and on her day the No.1 under 20 hammer exponent in the country.
Leilani Hills: Hills is the 2020 Queensland Heptathlon Champion within Little Athletics and in February excelled at the Sally Pearson Shield Meet 100m hurdles
CLAYFIELD COLLEGE
Danielle Jones: The 14-year-old is a Little A’s state championships medallist, winning a silver medal for javelin, bronze medal in discus and was a PB performer in high jump (1.53m).
Lindsay Webb and Eleanor Myers: Webb is an exciting young gymnast on the beam and floor while Queensland selection Eleanor Myers is a young gun in every category - all around, uneven bars, floor, beam and vault.
Poppy Stephan: Stephan is a Sunshine Coast Surf Life Saving Regional Branch Championships gold medallist (Beach relays) and bronze medallist (Beach flags).
She is a beach sprint top six finisher and at the 2021 Queensland Surf Life Saving Championships, she was first in the board rescue and second in the swim team.
Tiana Kritzinger: A world junior swimming championship merit team selection, Kritzinger is a 1500m and 800m champion who is also a national medallist in the 200m butterfly, 400m freestyle, 200m IM and 400m IM.
She had the experience of competing at the Olympic trials earlier in the year where she was sixth in the 1500m.
Hayley McGruther: McGruther is a under 17 Australian Netball Squad member and a fixture in Queensland and elite development squads.
IPSWICH GIRLS GRAMMAR SCHOOL
Charlize Goody: Goody will feature at the track and field championship on Thursday in the field. She is the under 16 national hammer silver medallist and a discus and javelin bronze medallist in her age group.
MORETON BAY COLLEGE
Chloe Munro and Taylah Hazell: The next generation of MBC athletics stars can be glimpsed through 12-year-olds Chloe Munro (long jump and hurdles state champion and state record holder) and Taylah Hazell who was a state team merit selection in the aquathlon and the state team cross country championships. She was also a fourth place finisher in the 1500m at the Little A state titles earlier in the year.
Annabelle Barnett: Watch for Barnett to motor in the 200m and 400m. She is coming off medal winning efforts in both those events at the Queensland athletics track and field championships in March, which propelled her onto representing Queensland at the age nationals in April.
Charlotte Kane: Kane is a true sporting allrounder who is a 13 Years State Triathlon Team selection.
Kobi Walker: Walker is a state team cross country representative
Daniela Hankey: Watch for her on Thursday in the high jump after finishing sixth while representing Queensland at the nationals in March.
Teresa Anthony: MBC’s great athletic depth is highlighted by Anthony who, competing in the 15 years age group, was a young gun at the state little athletic titles, finishing second in the long jump and first in the triple jump. On a national stage, she finished second in the triple jump..
Lily Neill: A rising sprinter, watch for Neill in the 100m and 200m on Thursday after she snared a silve medal (100m) at the state titles and a fourth place ni the 200m
Roxy Place: Place, 15, represented Queensland at the nationals in the 400m and 800m events
Estanoa Faitala: She was a silver medalist shot put after representing Queensland at the national track and field championships in March.
Sienna Hume: Hume was a triple jump silver medallist representing Queensland at the nationals.
Kaya Agnew: With a big heart and a big motor, Agnew is a distance young gun who shone to earn Queensland selection in the cross country team earlier this year.
Emma Bible: The 16-year-old is returning from injury with a great CV behind her - she is a former medalist at state and national level.
Francesca Peacock: Peacock continues to go from strength to strength, and will enter the QG championship as the Australian high jump champion within the 17 years age group.
Sophie Lillicrap: Lillicrap will be soaring on Thursday at the QG championship after her silver medal performance at this year’s national track and field championships.
Olivia Luckensmeyer: The 17-year-old is a high jump young gun who finished fifth at the nationals in April.
Nyree Hamilton: Hamilton is a middle distance specialist who was a state 800m gold medal winner and a national silver medallist as a member of the 4x400m team.
Claudia Chapman: Chapman will be hard to beat in the gruelling 400m hurdles, and will be among the medals at QGSSSA in several other events. But watch for her 400m hurdles effort where she is a state and national gold medallist.
Summer Lee Blake: A podium regular across multiple events, with long jump her speciality.

Brianna Leung: Leung is a wonderful jump talent who is the reigning under 17 Australia high jump champion and long jump bronze medallist who was also a 2020 Australian trampoline representative.
Ella Rodwell: Rodwell is the under 17 Australia 3km bronze medalist and an elite 2000m steeplechase exponent.
ST AIDAN’S ANGLICAN GIRLS’ SCHOOL
Angelina Tignani: Here is a rising rookie to watch. Tignani has been unbeatable within her age groups in javelin at national level for the last four years. She is the current under 18 Australian javelin champion
Zara Hagan: Hagan is a speed demon who snared a bronze medal in the 200m (under 15) at the nationals.
Jazelle Carter: Big-hearted Carter is the under 16 Australian 800m champion.
ST HILDA’S
Dior Scholz: The 15-years sprinter flew like the wind at the 2021 Queensland Athletics Championship to claim bronze in the 200m and a fourth placing in the 100m.
Hannah Collins: Collins will be the athlete to beat in triple jump at the QGSSSA championship after claiming the under 17 state title.
Nyah Bollinger: The multi-talented Bollinger is one to watch on the track and in the field after a bronze medal effort in high jump and a 5th finish during the 2021 state titles.
Cyra Bender: Bender has been selected in the 2022 Australian Youth Lifesaving team world championship.
Alexia Abela: Abela has been named in the Queensland triathlon state team
ST MARGARET’S ANGLICAN GIRLS’ SCHOOL
Ashley Blackman: Blackman is the Queensland high jump champion and 2021 Australian high jump bronze medalist in under 14 division.
Bless Daly: Daly is a star in the pool and on the land. She is a Queensland waterpolo representative and a hockey representative
Ebony Okonkwo: The youngster can motor, that is for sure. She is a state and national medalist in 100m and 200m.
Milla Roberts: St Margaret’s has a succession of high class middle distance runners and Roberts is one of the best, finishing third in 2000m steeplechase at last year nationals
Daisy Brown: Brown is a 2021 junior Matildas squad member and QAS football program selection.
Isabella Harte: A 16-year-old with a big motor, Harte is an elite middle, long distance and steeplechase exponent whose medal haul is far too extensive to detail here. Rest assured if you beat her across any distance, you have earned your win.
Lucy Bourke: A true-allrounder who is a Queensland cricket representative and Queensland Academy of Sport Rugby 7’s squad member
Rory Owen: Owen will be one to watch at the track and field championship coming off 2020 state title wins in the 200m and 400m.
ST PETERS LUTHERAN COLLEGE
Torrie Lewis: Blink and you may miss her as she scorches down the 100m track on Thursday. A world junior championship merit team selection, Lewis is a chance to represent Australia at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Hilal Durmaz: Blink and you might miss Durmaz as well. She is a whisker off Lewis and will also be a contender for senior Australian relay team bound for the Commonwealth Games.
Ashleigh Sitcheff: Sitcheff is a three-time national javelin champion in her age group.
Laylani Va’ai: The 17-year-old is a back-to-back national discus champion in her age group
Allira Takau: Takau, 14, is a two-time national shot put champion
Toby Stolberg: The youngster is coming off a silver medal at the national track and field championships.
Ella Ramsay: Arguably the best female schoolgirl in Australia - aside from her training partner and Olympian Mollie O’Callaghan. Watch for Ramsay to be a 2022 Commonwealth Games contender.
