Matthew Hartigan, Marsden SHS Head of Department – Excellence, said it was a fine achievement by the youth teams.

“As a community, we are extremely excited by the opportunity to challenge for the title in all four junior grades,’’ Hartigan said.

“Each of these teams have worked very hard to get to this point and this will continue leading into the game.’’

Marsden SHS is one of the world’s finest rugby league nurseries.

Just recently in the NRL when Melbourne Storm played South Sydney, five Marsden SHS past students - Cameron Smith, Brenko Lee (both Storm), Pat Mago, Jaydn Su’a and Corey Allen - were on the park.

It underlined the club’s extraordinary record in producing talent.

While the Langer Cup boys dipped out, the women’s Titans Cup team made the decider while the Walters Cup year 10 boys claimed last week’s trophy.
