Big names revving for the annual North Brisbane Cup on Saturday

There is no shortage of big names prepped to set the North Brisbane Junior Motorcycle Club alight Saturday for the North Brisbane Cup. HERE’S WHO’S COMING

Australia’s top riders will light up the North Brisbane Junior Motorcycle Club on Saturday when premier dirt track event the North Brisbane Cup returns to Banyo.

It will prove to be another action packed event, the NBJMCC playing host to three different tracks — Long Track, Dirt Track and Short Track for senior and junior solo riders, All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV’s) senior and sidecars.

Held annually, the North Brisbane Cup has become one of Australia’s best Dirt Track events with the timing allowing for many of Australia’s best to compete when they return home for the summer.

Defending 2021 North Brisbane Cup, winner Cyshan Weale will be lining up alongside international riders returning to local racing Jack Miller from Moto GP and from the AMA flat track championships Max Whale, Australian Champions Jarred Brook and Briony Hendrickson.

And, returning from Europe will be speedway legends Ryan Douglas, Jacob Hook and Kye Thomson, two-time XGames Gold Medalist Corey Creed will be in the line-up, with many also riding in the very competitive 125cc Cup.

In the sidecars, we will see Australian Championships team Troy Pritchard and Ethan Wade and current ATV champion Joshua Griffiths.

In the junior classes, current Australian Champions Theo Afeaki, Rory McQualter and Viv Muddle will be out to dominate the field.

Indeed there are some big names ready to set NBJMCC alight. You’d be silly to miss top notch Dirt Track racing from riders coming together from varying motorcycle disciplines and experience.
