BATTING STAT KINGS

Alistair Langdon (University)

The Brisbane Metro Cup’s leading batsman not only has most runs this season, he also leads the averages (72.25).

Landgon, who played 11As at Brisbane Grammar School during the summer GPS season, will be a contender for the college’s First XI side after his deeds during the club season.

Declan Lambert (Valley)

With 263 runs at 65.75 from just five innings, Lambert has been arguably the most consistent player in the competition.

He has a highest score of 77, and has consistently contributed good runs without ploughing onto to a three figure score.

Lambert has also struck more fours, 33, than any other batsman this season.

Ghuman, Agampartap Singh (Brisbane SuperKings)

From the prolific breeding ground of the Kuraby club and districts, Singh sits aloft as the highest scoring batsman (178) of the competition so far this season.

He is also a big hitting player who 12 times has lifted a delivery over the boundary ropes.

Jackson McDonald (Northern Suburbs District Cricket Club)

A key player in North Brisbane’s under-15s state carnival win last season, McDonald has one of just four centuries scored this season.

With 210 at 35 from six innings, McDonald has a solid foundation in which to finish the season in a flourish.

Henry Bader (Wynnum Manly)

The Sea Eagles junior has had another fine season, accumulating 210 runs from six innings including a top score of 94.

An Iona College student who played 9As this season, Bader has 23 fours and sixes to his name.

BOWLING STAT KINGS

Kian Chapman (Wynnum Manly)

Another Sea Eagles junior who has made his mark across South Brisbane cricket, Chapman’s fly start to the season came when he claimed 7-11 on September 22.

He has since taken a further nine wickets, and as the most difficult bowler in the competition to score runs off, Chapman is harbouring a remarkable average of 5.25 per wicket this summer.

Tyson Meaden (The Lakes)

Meaden has bowled more balls (43.5 overs) this season than any player in the competition, yet he has only conceded 123 runs.

His 15 wickets, the second most in the competition, have come at an average of just 8.2.

His bowling deeds were well known across the Brisbane North scene where he also enjoys playing for the Peninsula Club.

Isaac Krause (Ipswich)

From cricket rich Ipswich, Krause is a high achieving all-rounder and elite fieldsman.

A Northsiders Cricket Club junior and a St Peters Lutheran College, Springfield student, he played AIC First XI as a Year 10 student earlier in the year.

This season in the BMC he has worked hard for his 13 wickets at an average of 11.92, having bowled 40 overs.

Christian Rohm-Hurford (Redlands)

Rohm-Hurford has been consistent this season, with his 12 wickets coming at 9.33.

A Wynnum Manly junior from the Wellington Point Wildcats feeder club, he is an attacking bowler.

Finn Haller (Wynnum Manly)

Another beauty from the bayside, Finn is one of the most economical bowlers in the competition.

He has taken 10 wickets at 9.4, but he is also able to build pressure which raises the chances of success for his bowling partner.

He has bowled 33 overs and concedes just 2.85 per over.

TAVERNERS UNDER-17S

BATTING STAT KINGS

Sohaan Sharma (Wests)

Ploughing along with another 404 runs so far this season, the prolific Ipswich Grammar School opener continues to development at a speed of knots.

He has a capacity to play safely within himself, but also an ability to burst out and plunder.

This season he is topping the averages (67.33) and has plundered a century.

Hayden Hamilton (Wynnum Manly)

The Sea Eagles trump card has hit more boundaries (39) than any other player in the competition on his way through a tremendously consistent season.

He is yet to score a century - his top score is 93 - but his 392 runs has him easily joining Sharma and Eli Brian as one of the competition’s top three players.

Eli Brain (Norths)

A splendid all-rounder, the Brisbane Grammar School First XI representative has been making waves with the blade this Tav’s season, accumulating 334 runs at a competition high 68.8.

He has been backing his batting skills and scoring swiftly for Norths. He has also taken eight wickets so far this season.

Blake Armstrong (University)

One of the best all-rounders in his age group, left handed bat Armstrong has breezed to 328 runs in a summer which has also included a competition high 13 sixes.

The BBC student is a batsman first, and a left arm orthodox bowler second although he has taken seven wickets so far.

Theodore Bacalakis (University)

A young player in this competition, the St Joseph’s Gregory Terrace all-rounder displayed his elite skills in scoring 118 earlier in the summer.

A handy spin bowler, the run hungry Bacalakis will be looking to add to his season aggregate of 311 in the remaining rounds.

He has picked up a handy five wickets this season.

BOWLING STAT KINGS

Kethmin Meegasdeniya (Wynnum Manly)

A prolific wicket taking spinner, Meegasdeniya continues his success in a competition where batsman were looking to attack first.

He has 17 wickets at a remarkable 10.12, comfortably the competition’s No. 1 bowler.

Behl Gurkirat Singh (Toombul)

Hot on Meegasdeniya’s heels is this Bulls’ ace.

He has gone for a few runs, but with 16 wickets at 17.44 Singh is ahead of the curve and a tremendous enhancement to Toombul’s campaign.

Malakai Pearce (Sunshine Coast)

Somewhat of a junior cricketing prodigy from the Glasshouse Cricket Club, Pearce has made a big impact with his 15 wickets at 14.93 for the Scorchers.

He has been outstanding.

Dani Shlok (Western Suburbs)

A former Queensland Representative School Sport select, the Wests vice-captain has been leading by example this season at the bowling crease.

He has accumulated 14 victims, while keeping the pressure on for his bowling partner.

Dushyant Thaman (South Brisbane)

Another bottom age talent, left arm orthodox spinner is holding it together despite being challenged by the best club players around.

A winner from The Southport School, he is conceding 3.37 runs per over around his 14 wickets.
