All Ages Swimming Championship’s A to Z guide featuring a snap shot of 120 of some of Queensland’s best and brightest swimming talent, including future Aussie Dolphins.

Queensland’s best youth swimmers will flood the Gold Coast Aquatic from Friday until April 15 for the annual All Ages Swimming Championships.
The next generation Olympic and Commonwealth Games representatives will be glimpsed - just as they were two years ago when the likes of Mollie O’Callaghan, Liz Dekkers, Sam Short and Ella Ramsay graced the pool deck.
Elite youth swimmers such as Jaclyn Barclay, Ike Martinez, Jesse Coleman, Amelia Weber, MIlla Jensen, Hannah Casey, Taryn Roberts and co will lead the charge.
The meet is also a chance for our very best multi class swimmers, headed by Gold Coast’s Holly Wain, to showcase their talent. The multi class events start on Friday.
The championships is also a chance for country kids to shine, and for swimmers not to win, but to claim morale victories by beating the clock and securing personal bests.

Below we present an A to Z of talent. This is not meant to be a complete list of Queenslanders competing, but merely a snapshot of some talent our great swimming state continues to produce.
A is for Chandler’s excitement machine Anders McAlpine from the Redlands who is really making waves in the middle distance freestyle, and also for St Peters Western’s middle distance exponent Noah Acton. A is also for multi class competitors Aiden Brown (Allora), Aneka Gibson (Nudgee) and Archer Belben (Pelican Waters), and for Logan Vikings Callum Andrews. A is also for young talent Piper Asquith (Griffith Uni) and the double A swimmer, Abigail Anderson (Brisbane Grammar).
B is for two of the best youth swimmers in the land - Barclay and Bird. Jaclyn Barclay (St Peters Western) is a two-time Aussie Junior Dolphins while MakaylaBird is a Bond Uni butterfly whiz who is on everyone’s watch list. Girl oh girl, can’t the pair of them motor.
B is also for Grace Brimelow (Sunshine Coast Grammar) and Yeronga Park’s Victoria Belando Nicholson and for Miami’s Bailey Sullivan. B is also for Charlotte Boothey (Yeronga) and Nudgee’s Luke Barbour.
C is for Bond’s Jesse Coleman, first and foremost, and also for the towering freestyle talent Hannah Casey (Marist College Ashgrove). Both Coleman and Casey were among Queensland’s best of the bunch, with Casey a member of the Australian Dolphins Junior team which competed in Hawaii.
C has also been reserved for Cosette Cooke (Rackley Centenary), regional middle distance rookies, Cotton Tree’s Byron Oliphant, Noosa’s Cooper Reynolds and Cooper Love (Rocky City), and for Chandler young talents Emiyl Holmesand and Maya Bearman. C is also for a pretty handy swimmer called Annanella Creswell and also Ruby Crowther (Rackley). C is also for Chippa, David Chippendale (St Peters).
D is for the promising Audrey Dearling (Brisbane Grammar) and for the long, lanky St Peters Western ace Hugh Dollie and his club mate, Thomas De Brito.
E is for Eloise McLellan who was one of the sensations of the Queensland championships last December with eight gold record and an IM record (12 years). Emmundi’s Chloe Maxwell and also for St Aidan’s Anglican College’s Phoebe Finlay (Ambrose Treacy swim squad), an elite multi class competitor. E is also for Eloise Pattison (Nudgee).
E is also for the competitive Elena Staal and a pretty handy swimmer called Enoch Robb from All Saints who shone like a beacon at the McDonald’s Queensland Swimming Championships four months ago.
F is for Alex Fahey (Iona) who is a real mover and shaker in the space events, and also watch for Moreton Bay’s Francesca Chitukudza. It is also for sprint excitement machine Felix Wilson (Rackley).
G is for a double G, St Peters Western’s Gemma Glen and for Moreton Bay’s Siena Gibson - and also Queensland rep ace Benjamin Goedemans and Ava Gaske (Chandler), along with Matilda Gava (Chandler). And then there is multi class ace Samuel Gould who was a superstar at the state titles during December.
H is for Helensvale’s multi class swimmer Lilly-Anne Gould and for Hayden Cahill (Yeronga) and Jackson Hatchard (Townsville) - and also for St Peters Western’s hard working Hannah Morton. H is also for the tried and tested speed machine Hannah Allen and St Peters Western’s Hunter Milgate, along with Hannah Davis (Brisbane Grammar).
I is for the one and only Ike Martinez (St Joseph’s Gregory Terrace) from the crack Rackley Centenary Club. Young Ike is the real deal. He was awarded the Jason Plummer Award (male) at last December’s state titles. H is also for St Hilda’s Inez Miller (400m) who is a real “watch this space’’ talent. And speaking of special talent, I is also for St Peters Isabella Morris who is kicking goals. And then there is Indiana King (Iona) and the one and only Nala Iosefo (Gardens swim club) who was a star at the state championships.
J is for Pelican Waters Jed Rowlands and Josephine Crimmins (Newmarket Racers), Jack Moore (Rackley) and Ethan Jones (St Peters),and also for St Peters Jye Bennion. J is also for Claveria Tiumalu-Johnson (St Peters) who has the heart of Phar Lap. And what about Joshua Conias? He’s a great talent from Somerville House. And of course Joshua Collett was a record breaker (18 years) at the state championships during December.
K is for exciting St Peters Western middle distance prospect Kai Gilbert, who swam a withering 24.25 seconds for the 100m at the states during December. Also at the same meet
Noah Kamprad (Miami) swam the house down. K is also for Sunshine Coast Grammar’s Jackson King, along with Bond’s Kody Byrne. And also keep an eye on this Special K, Kaci Curtis of St Peters.
L has to be for country folks Hachlan Lau (St George), Lachlan McNamee (Toowoomba Grammar) and for Levi Harris (Gladstone)- all multi class young guns. And what about Griffith University’s Tribeca Liu who has the runs on the board, and Sophie Lambourne (St Peters) - along with the high achieving Lucy Stuart (Brisbane Grammar).
M is for Sophie Martin (Somerville House), an elite IM swimmer who is also a breaststroke young gun. She is a member of the Australian Junior Dolphins. M is also for the elite talent of Milla Jansen (Bond), who toured with the Aus Dolphins Junior team to Hawaii. A is also for Archer Mellifont (MCA), and for Ava McLean (Brisbane Grammar). Max Gao (Brisbane Grammar) is another very good M. Then there is St Peters Michael Thomas. M is also for youngster Mackenzie Crocker (A B Paterson) who could not have been more impressive at the Queensland swimming championships.
N is for Namoi Hong Nee (Logan Vikings) of multi class fame.
O is for Oliver, Martin Oliver (Nudgee College) and for Joshua O’Neill (Coolum Peregian) and Olivia Hine (Somerville House).
P is for an old favourite, Olympia Pope (Miami) who is challenging All Age breaststroke records, and for multi class rising swimmer Phoebe Finlay.
Q is for Daisy Quinn (Sunshine Coast Grammar) who has a big job on her hands against fellow Queenslanders Ella Reynolds, Sienna Deurloo, Allen, Weber, Roberts and Haylee Reid in the 1500m. Q is also for Pelican Waters’ Emily Quinlan.
R is for Lilla Ribot-de-Bresac, a record breaker at All Hallows’ School who swims with Newmarket Racers. R is also for Albany Creek’s Tobi Rinaldi and for Logan Vikings Riley Burton, and for Junior Dolphin Georgie Roper (Miami) whois a 1500m whiz.
R is also for Bianca Rayward (Miami) who is a thrilling prospect. It is also for Julia Remington (Yeronga) and Griffith Uni’s Roper Blair. R also has to be for the one and only Rocky City swimmer Taryn Roberts who needs a Mack Truck to transport all her Age medals back to Central Queensland. R is also for another Ramsay from St Peters, Alana Ramsay.
S is for Flynn Southern (Bond) who is one of the best in the business. S is also for Summer-Skye Crips (Rackley) and Mercedes Siganto (Ipswich Grammar) who will swim in the 50m breaststroke Multi-Class. S is also for the Smith’s, Rylee (Redcliffe) and Amelie (Rocky City). S is also for Mila Stribling (Moreton Bay). S is also for Stella Stuart (Brisbane Grammar).
T is for Tahlia Hansen from the famous Element Swimming Club (Coorparoo) who is an exciting butterfly talent. It is also for Ainsley Trotter (St Peters Western) who will be in medal contention. T is also for Robert Thorpe (St Peters), the open water ace who has endless energy. T is also for Sam Thorpe, and for Thomas Bytheway (Rocky City) from the sporting stronghold of Rockhampton. T is also for Thomas Stegeman (Ambrose Treacy), both multi class swimmers.
V is taylor made for Sally Vagg who we have featured in our All Ages coverage over the years. She is a Rocky City butterfly little ripper who is an Australian Junior Dolphins representative. and what a 400m race it will be with Inez Miller (mentioned under Is).
W is for Amelia Weber (St Peters Western), an Aussie Dolphins who is one of Queensland’s brightest and best. She was awarded the Jason Plummer Award (female) at last December’s state titles. It is also for our Queensland champion, St Hilda’s Holly Warn, and also A is for Michael Whitby (Dalby). W is also for Lia Wiese (USC Spartans), for Churchie’s William Shepherd-Smith and Chandler’s Will Wearing.
X is for an international visitor, Xavier Collins from Christchurch.
Y. With Yannik Zwolsman, the Southport teenage young gun who represented Queensland last year, now too old for All Ages, Y has to be for an international raider, Hong Kong’s Yingpeng Wu.
Z is for Zoe Ammundsen (Iona), a CHAC student, and Brisbane Grammar’s Samuel Zhang.
