St Peters Lutheran College Springfield student Mollie O’Callaghan has enhanced her growing reputation after an outstanding meet at the world junior swimming championships.

St Peters Lutheran College Springfield student Mollie O’Callaghan has enhanced her growing reputation after an outstanding meet at the world junior swimming championships.

The Logan City resident who swims at the powerhouse St Peters Western Swim Club, claimed four fourth placings in finals at the meet.

She then garnished her individual swims by helping the 4x100m freestyle team to a silver medal on the last night of competition.

The medal was reward for O’Callaghan who was outstanding without getting an individual medal.

The teenager snared a personal best time of 3:46.27 in the 400m freestyle final.

She then produced another fourth finish in PB time in the 100m freestyle final, narrowly missing a podium finish.

O’Callaghan then swum a sub 28 time (27.94) to place fourth in the 50m backstroke and also finished fourth in the 100m backstroke.
