Police have released footage of the moment thieves allegedly broke into a Goodna store and stole a large amount of cigarettes

Detectives investigating the break and enter at a business in Goodna last month released security camera images and footage as part of an appeal for information.

Investigations suggest that shortly after 2am Tuesday, September 8, three people allegedly forced their way into the Smiths Rd premises.

A large quantity of cigarettes was stolen.

One of the alleged thieves can be seen to remove their balaclava before all three fled in a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf onto Smith St before turning into Albert St.

Investigators are appealing for any witnesses who may have heard of seen anything in the vicinity of Smiths Road to contact police.
