A popular Brisbane burger restaurant has closed three locations within a month, leaving just one venue from the four they had across southeast Queensland remaining open.
Ze Pickle, which closed its Fortitude Valley store last month after collapsing into liquidation, announced on social media it would return to just operating its “OG Burleigh store” in a week’s time.
The decision means the closure of the company’s Brisbane Airport location and Camp Hill restaurant that will shut its doors for good on March 17.
“Hey to all our ZP fam, we’ve made the decision to slowly take Ze Pickle 360 degrees back to its roots and just sport our wares at the OG Burleigh store,” the announcement on Ze Pickle’s Facebook page said.
“It’s been a great, successful, wild and trying nine years (plus) since we expanded from our little shoebox here on the GC that we first opened 12 years ago.
“In that time we have amassed a huge (and) amazingly loyal following – love ya’s (sic) all – had plenty of ups and downs which we have learned a lot from and have now come to a point where we are keen to keep it simple.
“In saying this, our beloved Camp Hill store will have one last week of trade before closing, so get down there before Sunday eve next week and bid us farewell.
“You’ll still be able to get your ZP fix here at Burleigh and we are far from done in the hospo universe. Love, Burgs & Beers, Aaron, Nath (and) JD.”
Ze Pickle was first opened in 2012 in Burleigh Heads by Nathan Zuckerman, Aaron Wilson and Joseph Day.
After the announcement its Fortitude Valley restaurant would close last month, it was reported the company’s other three locations would operate as normal.
