Global active entertainment giant BOUNCE Inc is set to add a world-first to its list of Australian locations with a major Brisbane shopping centre to become the home for its newest venue.
BOUNCE Inc, which already has 12 locations around the country including the Gold Coast and Tingalpa, will launch the world’s first miniBOUNCE at Carindale Shopping Centre tomorrow (June 23).
The new location, a freestyle playground specifically designed for children between six months and six years old, has been two years in the making and will include eight mini trampolines, an oversized airbag, slippery slides and a colourful ball pit.
It will also feature a dedicated toddler area to provide a safe and multi-sensory environment
for younger children.
BOUNCE Inc co-founder and executive director Ant Morell said the launch of the first miniBOUNCE followed a post-Covid boom across its venues.
“The global pandemic has certainly transformed consumer behaviour around how people spend their time, and it’s clear there is a demand for fun activities that contribute to an improvement in physical fitness and mental wellbeing,” he said.
“MiniBOUNCE has been designed to help kids from walking age up to the age of six to develop fundamental movement skills for an active life, in a fun environment.
“We pride ourselves on offering world-class customer service and our iconic BOUNCE hosts are at the core of delivering a truly awesome experience.
“They’re trained around our philosophy of inspiring movement, self-expression and human connections, and will be encouraging kids to improve and progress their skills.”
Australia’s first BOUNCE Inc opened in Brisbane in 2014 and has grown to more than 30 venues across 10 countries.
Mr Morell said Brisbane was the clear frontrunner when it came to choosing a location for the new concept.
“We’ve seen huge demand for a BOUNCE venue targeted at our youngest jumpers, and Brisbane is the ideal place for us to mark the first step in the miniBOUNCE journey,” he said.
“Not only is Westfield Carindale one of the largest shopping centres in Australia, it’s also one of the city’s leading retail and lifestyle destinations so it’s only fitting that we chose it as the location for our very first miniBOUNCE venue.
“We are confident southeast Queensland families will absolutely love what miniBOUNCE has to offer and we’re looking forward to officially welcoming kids to unleash their free spirits in just a few weeks’ time.”
