Not everything went to plan for one truck driver working on Monday morning after his truck rolled over on a major suburban road in Brisbane’s south.
It is believed the heavy truck tried to turn a corner before it rolled over at the intersection of Sherwood Rd and Muriel Ave in Rocklea about 10.40am.
The truck reportedly also collided with the traffic lights, which stopped working.
Sherwood Rd in Rocklea was temporarily closed, just before midday, to help remove debris.
Paramedics attended the scene but the driver was not injured in the accident.
The crash caused some delays for about an hour before the lanes were cleared after a crane was used to help remove the truck from the road.
One commuter, who was caught up in the delays, said it looked like the driver was trying to turn on to Ipswich Rd to get onto the motorway heading south.
She also said there were fire crews on scene as well as police to help direct traffic.
Another commuter said the intersection was a common area for serious accidents, saying there were crashes there “all the time”.
