Stones Corner triathlete Annabel White is in the United States to continue her development after a stellar year in the sport.
White, who last month represented Australia under 23 at the World Triathlon Series grand final on the Gold Coast, has achieved more in her 12 months in the sport than she had envisaged where she started a year ago.
Now White, who trains alongside St Laurence’s College old boy and Commonwealth Games representative Luke Willian at the Langlands Park pool, will compete in two triathlons in the US.
“I am going to North Carolina in Charlotte where we will do a the Major-league Triathlon Relay and then I will travel down for a World Cup which will be a sprint distance.’’
She said it was all about continuing to develop race experience.
“Because my trajectory has been a bit quicker than we thought, it is a matter of getting experience and building confidence at that level and standard of racing, just trying to get used to that level because it is a big step up.’’ White is coached by Warwick Dalziel
