Southeast Brisbane community devastated by Tingalpa fruit market closure
A fruit market in Brisbane’s southeast has announced it will close its doors on the eve of 2023 leaving hundreds of customers and local residents gutted.

Hundreds of customers have been left gutted after a popular fresh fruit market in Brisbane’s southeast announced its sudden closure.
Fresh Berries Direct, which boasts farm fresh fruits and vegetables and a cafe, shared the news of the impending closure of its Tingalpa location on Wednesday with the doors to close on December 31.
The news comes after the business opened the official pick up store in August, 2020.
“Unfortunately due to recent unforeseen circumstances Fresh Berries Direct Tingalpa store will be closing its doors permanently,” the Facebook post said.
“We will continue to trade from all your Brisbane farmers markets from January 21st for all your farm fresh berries.”
Hundreds of loyal customers have been left shattered by the news, flocking to social media to share their sadness.
“I’m sorry to hear this, rent is just so hard for a small business,” Bickies Nat said.
“I am so sorry to hear, your produce has always been of the best quality, I am going to miss your friendly greetings and wish you all the best for the future, thank you,” Wendy Stevens, said.
