Potential diving Olympian Cassiel Rousseau said his priority in the sport was still to fun and nothing had changed despite the stakes getting higher the closer he gets to the Olympic Games’ trials in June.
The 18-year-old produced an Australian team qualifying performance at last year’s world championships when he finished ninth, although he still has to perform at the Olympic trials in June to confirm his place in the side bound for Tokyo.

“When I started diving it was to have fun and enjoy what I am doing,’’ the Mansfield State School past student said.
“It is still my goal to have fun and work hard doing it. But obviously now I have to work a bit harder.’’
Rousseau said the secret to his success was not to put pressure on himself.
“I don’t like to put pressure on myself. It drops your performance and you get focused on scores too much,’’ he said.
