An elderly pedestrian has been hospitalised after being struck by a ute in Alderley in Brisbane’s inner north on Monday, July 15.

A police spokesman said early investigations indicated the 76-year-old man was crossing Railway St, off Samford Rd, just after 3pm.

Police alleged he was struck by a grey Nissan Navara utility while walking on the pedestrian crossing.

The man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The ute driver, a 32-year-old Burpengary man, was helping police with their inquiries.

Police appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam, CCTV, or phone vision to contact them.

The spokesman said they were also asking anyone who saw the dual cab utility before the crash to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit was investigating.
