Multiball Mania opens in Wynnum CBD on June 11
A flashy new pinball bar will next week become the latest of more than 20 new businesses to open in a bayside entertainment precinct this year.

A booming entertainment precinct on Brisbane’s bayside is set to receive a flashy new addition with a pinball hall and bar to open later this month.
Multiball Mania will swing open its doors on Bay Tce in Wynnum’s CBD on June 11 and is the latest of more than 20 businesses to open on the bayside in 2021.
The venue will feature 22 pinball machines, two arcade multiplayer games, a licensed bar and will work off free play with an entry fee.
It will also sit next to Fun Fit Play at the Wynnum Health Hub, formerly the Wynnum IGA Centre, run by landlord Justin Ham and will join the precinct which also features popular restaurants and bars The Fat Duck and Mr Hibachi.
Olga and Richard Faataape, who also are co-owners of The Fat Duck and Mr Hibachi, will run Multiball Mania.
“The idea behind the venture is to provide more young adult to older entertainment,” Mr Ham said.
“I can see parents coming into Fun Fit Play for their children then Multiball Mania provides entertainment for the parents as well as older siblings during the day and at night it has an entertainment area for adults.
“It’s just such an exciting addition to a hub that is already proving a major hit with baysiders as the area continues to grow every month and becomes a destination for people outside of the area as well.”
Mr Ham also said pinball competitions will be held at the venue.
Mr and Mrs Faataape will also be looking to build on the success of the businesses at the Wynnum Health Hub by holding a disco night on June 19.
The night, where Mr Ham expected more than 400 people to attend, will see Fun Fit Play turned into an adult-only disco with DJs as well as a bar and will be $30 entry.
“The disco will run on a regular basis every six weeks with different themes every time,” Mr Ham said.
“This disco will have a space for people to do the ‘time of your life’ lift in dirty dancing. Olga has employed some strong men to enable to fulfil your dreams of the famous dirty dancing moment.”
