Man in hospital after vehicle crashes into traffic lights

A man has been rushed to hospital after a single-vehicle crash at one of Brisbane’s busiest intersections, now causing major traffic delays.
The Queensland Police Service said the traffic lights are out at Mt Gravatt Capalaba Rd/Old Cleveland Rd intersection at Chandler following the crash earlier on Friday (January 27).
Delays are expected for several hours and police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said a male motorist was transported in a stable condition to Queen Elizabeth Hospital about 2.30pm.
