Developers have revealed plans to turn an empty block along a busy road in Rochedale into a large new allotment of three-storey Soho-style townhouses.

Developers have revealed plans to turn an empty block along a busy road in Rochedale into a large new allotment of three-storey Soho-style townhouses.

A development application lodged by Kinscorp Pty Ltd is seeking to build 16 townhouses on the vacant block of land at 15 Lux Place, Rochedale, which also adjoins the busy Miles Plating Rd.

Planning documents prepared by Town Planning Alliance show the proposal seeks to provide 16 three-bedroom townhouses on the site.

“The proposal intends to provide Soho style living, with the ability to provide home-based businesses on the lower level,” the documents read.

“The proposal will be accessed via a series of crossovers to Lux Place. This is required due to the narrow depth of the allotment.

“The configuration of the site will see three quadplex’s, and two duplexes.

“All 16 townhouses will have pedestrian access to Miles Platting Road.

“The proposed design uses a broad range of construction materials, selective recesses and

projections to ensure the development appears visually interesting from both the Miles Platting

Road and Lux Place streetscapes.”
