Ellis Brown, 49, remembered by family after truck crash at Bald Hills

A father-of-three killed in a tragic truck crash on Brisbane’s northside has been remembered as a selfless and joyful man.

The son of a truck driver who was killed after a tragic crash in Brisbane’s northside says his dad was loved “to the moon and back” by everyone who knew him.

Holland Park man Ellis Brown, 49, passed away on February 16 after his truck rolled over wile travelling southbound on Gympie Arterial Rd, near Gympie Rd, at Bald Hills just before midnight.

Mr Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash left his family and friends in shock but they will all remember the father-of-three and grandfather-of-six as a special man.

“He was a very energetic and outgoing person, who was always a laugh to be around,” his eldest son, Adam Brown, said.

“He was always more interested in making everyone else smile and laugh and would give them the shirt off his back if he thought it would benefit them.

“He was loved to the moon and back and he will be missed more and more each day.”

Mr Brown had been a truck driver for more than 10 years.

Family and friends will gather to remember Mr Brown at his funeral on March 11.

The Forensic Crash Unit are still investigating the crash.
