Dr Minas Mina, beloved Carina doctor dies aged 77, remembered as inspirational healer
A beloved doctor who operated a clinic south of Brisbane for more than 30 years, has died, with hundreds of friends and family paying tribute to a “selfless, compassionate man”.

A beloved doctor who operated a clinic south of Brisbane for more than 30 years, has died aged 77, as hundreds of friends and family paid tribute to a “selfless, compassionate man who gave us all boundless love”.
Dr Minas Mina was the head of Mina Medical Centre, Carina, which he founded in 1988.
He completed his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery at the University of Melbourne, where he developed his love for the Collingwood Football Club and the game of golf.
He was born in Cyprus and leaves behind his wife Eva, who he has been married to for 55 years and who also works at the clinic.
Patients remembered him as an incredible, compassionate doctor who will be sorely missed.
“Minas was my doctor when he started out at Tarragindi. My deepest sympathies go out for the loss of such a beautiful man,” said one former patient on social media.
As family and loved ones paid their respects on Monday at Mt Gravatt’s Greek Orthodox Church of the Dormition of Our Lady, Dr Mina was remembered as a caring family man who loved to socialise and dance.
Loved ones said he always had a passion for medicine and helping others.
“He was an inspirational man whose unwavering dedication to his family, patients and community touched countless lives.
“His compassion and healing will forever be remembered.
“Words cannot describe the gratitude, admiration and love we have for Dr Mina. His memory will be eternal, rest in peace.”
Mina Medical Centre will continue to operate and a spokesperson said Doctor Mina’s passing left a heavy hole in their heart.
“He gave so much of himself to his work and his family,” they said.
“He was an integral part of our community, his passion and legacy will carry on through the Mina Medical name.”
He leaves behind his wife Eva, their twins Christina and Maria and son Zack.
