A BRISBANE resident is using his love and passion for Moreton Bay to rise to social media stardom.

The Wynnum man known as Ty Clint is the owner and operator of The Bay Today, a Facebook page and YouTube channel, which has more than 14,000 followers across more than 20 countries and showcases what Moreton Bay has to offer.

Ty, who has been a full-time carer for his 90-year-old pop for the past four years, started the page in 2018 after a friend complimented his skills with video and photography.

But not only is it the beautiful bayside videos and pictures that earn the spotlight on the growing page, Ty’s cute canine companion in three-year-old Labrador, Sadie, is arguably the biggest star of the show.

“Sadie loves the bay, she’s really the star of the page, wherever I go, she goes too, we are a team,” he said.

“The Bay Today is all about bringing live, current conditions and same day content to the local community and the world.

“My number one aim for this page was about showcasing what Moreton Bay has to offer to the world, social media is the platform I use and I really encourage followers to engage with my posts, I try to reply to any question and really appreciate that people have supported us from day one.

“Manly has the largest marina in the southern hemisphere which is the doorstep to Moreton Bay, I would love to see more people coming to the area for recreation, lifestyle and events. So we are happy to help by showcasing what’s happening.”

The Bay Today’s Facebook is currently reaching 1.2 million people monthly and the YouTube channel rapidly reached 1000 subscriptions.

Ty said he had more projects planned for the near future and is working with his partner, Zoe, on some exciting new ideas.

“The bayside is just such a great place with so much to offer, but it takes a lot of work, it’s much more than just posting videos and photos, there’s a lot involved in boating, equipment, latest tech and hours to create content,” he said.

“I have a number of sponsors that have helped with getting us where we are today.”
