The owner of an inner-city concreting business has been charged after threatening to send ‘revenge porn’ images of his ex-girlfriend to her employers.
Teneriffe man Brad David Moskwa, 45, pleaded guilty to one count of threatening to distribute an intimate image or prohibited visual recording in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The court heard Moskwa had been in a brief relationship with a woman who worked at an adult entertainment club in Brisbane from April to May in 2018.
During the relationship, the couple met at a hotel for an intimate encounter when the woman discovered Moskwa had been taking photos of her and that encounter without her permission. She asked him to stop but he continued.
The court heard he made threats to her to distribute a video or photos of her naked and performing a sexual act to her manager.
Moskwa’s lawyer said the video and images were not sent.
“If the manager had found out that one of the girls was engaging in private services outside of the establishment that would have meant that she was terminated in terms of her employment,” he said.
He was sentenced to 18-month community corrections order and ordered to pay his ex-girlfriend $750 in compensation.
