Customers of a popular Moreton Bay pizza store have reacted to the shop’s closure, bringing an end to a franchise that began a decade ago on the Gold Coast.
The owners of Pizza Temptations at North Lakes announced the store’s closure on social media earlier this week.
Kylie and Craig Oldfield were the store owners/operators.
“We would like to announce that we are closing our doors for the final time tonight,” the post from owner-operators Kylie and Craig Oldfield said.
“We would like to thank all our loyal customers and local community for your support over the last seven years. We have enjoyed being here meeting so many lovely people, but the time has come to move on, regards Craig and Kylie.”
They have been contacted for comment.
The Pizza Temptations operation began when Daniel Pirrone-Cook and Belinda Ann Karcoushkas opened the first location in Upper Coomera back in 2014.
The store officially closed in August last year after nine years of trading, with the post on the store’s Facebook stating the North Lakes location would continue trading.
There are no other Pizza Temptations locations listed on the company’s website.
Shocked residents commented on the announcement of the North Lakes closure on Facebook.
One wrote, “All the best going forward. Thank you again for being such amazing bosses to my kids. They enjoyed working for you and will miss seeing you each week!
Another person wrote, “I’m sorry to hear, the best pizza made by a great family, thank you for everything.”
