A hip new restaurant with a delicious spin on healthy fare is back on track to open at a prominent business location that has stood empty for more than a year.

Management for The Good Place Cleveland have assured their shop at 91 Middle St will open as soon as the current Covid lockdown is lifted.

Situated at the entrance to Cleveland Central shopping centre it takes over the premises where the Coffee Club Cleveland traded for 23 years.

Locals have by now become used to signing announcing the newcomer which covers the corner store, and responded with enthusiasm to an online statement that there was life in the business yet.

Cleveland local Mustapha “Moose” Habbouchi has partnered with James McGovern and will run the day-to-day.

“I can’t wait to bring this concept to Cleveland,” Mr Habbouchi said.

“James and I share similar values around The Good Place’s core values of health, community and environment – and I am stoked to be representing the brand in my local community.

“Unfortunately Covid hasn’t been nice to us, and we’ve had delays but we are back on track.”

With locals on tenterhooks for the new business to open, management report they have already been welcomed by the community.

“We are very lucky and grateful that the local community has given us so much love,” Mr Habbouchi said.

“From the moment we opened our doors during renovations, we have seen an overwhelming response of gluten free, coeliac, and hungry The Good Place fans.

“This store means so much more than just a local cafe.

“I have seen a great community come together to help finish The Good Place.

“Not to mention, we couldn’t have done it without our staff, who have spent countless hours and days building the tables and chairs to helping install decorative pieces.

“We truly care about our locals, our environment and most importantly our customers.

“We expect to open as soon as lockdown finishes.”
