The Good Place Kawana will give customers the power to choose their next menu

A popular Coast restaurant is giving the community an opportunity to pick what features on their winter menu during an interactive event.

A popular Coast restaurant is giving the community an opportunity to pick what features on their winter menu during an interactive event.

The Good Place will allow guests to sample six to eight courses from a proposed menu before giving scores and feedback that will be used to finalise the menu to be launched in June.

The Good Place founder, James McGovern said the event was about community connection.

"Community is a huge part of everything we do here at The Good Place. Our mission is about providing good, wholesome and sustainably sourced food from local farmers and delivering it to the plates of Sunshine Coast locals," he said.

"Unfortunately, we don't think we get to tell the stories of our incredible farmers and suppliers in the way we want to. So we came up with the idea of this event as means to connect the local community with the amazing work these partners do in terms of sustainability and social responsibility.

"Every decision we make is made with community, health and sustainability at the forefront of our mind, and we're hoping this event will help us tell this story and the stories of our partners"

On May 5 guests will dine at candlelit long tables with their nearest and dearest, while indulging in good food with perfectly paired beverages to match each course while listening to the inspiring stories of the local farmers, suppliers and winemakers whose products will feature.

The completely gluten-free business has grown from a single cafe and has been franchised to Brisbane, Noosa and Sydney, with another venue set to open in Maroochydore in late May.

Mr McGovern said the brand's success is a testament to the company's core values.

"People want to work with us because they believe in what we do," he said.

"Our farmers and suppliers use regenerative farming techniques that work in harmony with the land, animals and people.

"For those reasons, our venues create healthier food, better conditions for animals and impact communities on a tangible and local level."

The special event will be held at The Good Place Kawana.

Tickets are for sale and can be purchased for $38 or $58 with an included wine pairing.
