Police are on the hunt for three people who used a stolen Volkswagen Polo to steal medication and tobacco products, before breaking into a bayside business. SEE THE VIDEO

Queensland Police have released CCTV footage in an appeal for information after three people used a stolen car to steal products, before breaking into a bayside business.

Police reported a red 2014 Volkswagen Polo was stolen from a Light St address at Springwood on February 15.

Investigations indicate the vehicle was used in a series of property crime offences on the bayside, Logan and Gold Coast areas between February 17 and February 19 where items including medication and tobacco products were stolen.

Three people were reported using tools to gain access to a business on New Cleveland Rd at Gumdale at about 1.45am on February 17.

There, the group unsuccessfully attempted to break into a safe, before stealing it.

No one was physically injured during the incidents.

Investigators have released CCTV of the Gumdale break and enter, and appeal to anyone with information in relation to the incident or relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.

Police have also released images of the stolen Volkswagen Polo and appeal to anyone who may recognise the vehicle, or has CCTV or dashcam footage of its movements in recent days, to come forward.

Investigations remain ongoing.
