Police investigating alleged group assault at Thorneside

Police are investigating after three people were assaulted at a Bayside boatramp overnight.

Police say they were investiaging an alleged assault and altercation between two groups of males alleged to have known each other, at a bayside boat ramp overnight, where the alleged offenders then fled the scene.

At 10.41pm last night, paramedics responded to reports of three people who had been assaulted on the Boat Ramp near the Rail Station on Ferry Road at Thorneside.

Three males of undisclosed ages were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

They said one patient was treated for a a head injury, one patient for multiple facial injuries and the third for lacerations to their arms.

QPS said another group of males, alleged to have known the injured patients, arrived in a car before an altercation took place.

Police say the group that arrived in the car are then alleged to have fled the scene in the same vehicle.

Investigations are ongoing.
