KFC Birkdale will open its doors to locals this weekend — and they will deliver too.

The new restaurant, at Birkdale Green, 112 Birkdale Rd, will open this Saturday, December 14.

The new restaurant will provide state-of-the-art facilities including digital menu boards and a freestanding single lane drive through.

The team will be led by restaurant general manager Kimberley Jones, who steps into the role after transferring from the nearby KFC Greenslopes.

Ms Jones said she was thrilled to be opening the store at the weekend.

“It’s a really exciting opportunity for me to take charge of the new restaurant when it opens, and the restaurant members [staff] are all also really eager to make their mark in their new roles.”

Assistant restaurant managers Brittany Pratt and Luke Nielson, have also been promoted into their new roles, transferring to Birkdale from nearby KFC restaurants.

The new restaurant has opened up 50 new jobs, with team members having already undertaken training.

Ms Jones said the team was excited to welcome locals and build rapport with returning customers.

“Being a largely fresh team, we’re looking forward to watching our new team members grow and reach their potential. I want them all to be their best selves, have fun and make new friends.”

Delivery partner Menulog will also be available from Monday, December 16, providing home delivery for local residents.
