The “golden age” of pirates is long gone but our fascination with them lives on.
This weekend you can indulge your inner Captain Hook or Jack Sparrow and go on board the replica 15th century Caravel “Notorious” when it berths at Raby Bay Harbour Pontoon.
From tomorrow until Sunday the vessel, built by enthusiast Graeme Wylie, will be open for public inspection.

Notorious Facts
The “Notorious” is a full size, wooden, sailing re-creation of a Portuguese caravel designed and constructed single-handedly by Victorian boatbuilder Mr Wylie.
It was constructed from salvaged Monterey cypress and launched in 2011.
The vessel is the only lateen rigged ship and the only sailing caravel in the Southern Hemisphere.

Admission: Adults (15 yrs +) $5; Children (2 yrs -14 years) $2.
Children must be supervised at all times by an accompanying adult.
