POLICE officers from Holland Park and the Upper Mount Gravatt property team have charged seven people with drug offences after raiding five properties on Friday, which also uncovered a “Taser-type device”.
Holland Park Police Station officer in charge Senior Sergeant Kylie Doyle said police were acting on “intelligence and local knowledge” when they searched five properties in Mount Gravatt East, each resulting in drug-related charges.

At the first property, a 42-year-old woman was charged with possessing 10g of methylamphetamine (ice), and a 43-year-old man was charged with possessing ice and marijuana.
At the second property, a 27-year-old woman was charged with possessing 1.6g of ice and drug utensils.
At the third property, an 18-year-old woman was issued a drug diversion notice for possessing marijuana, and a 38-year-old woman was charged with possessing one gram of ice.
At the fourth property, a 50-year-old woman was charged with possessing drug utensils.
At the fifth property, a 20-year-old woman from Logan was charged with possessing a Taser-type device and drug utensils.
Except for the 18-year-old woman who was issued a drug diversion notice, all alleged offenders will appear before Holland Park Magistrates Court on August 17.
Snr Sgt Doyle said Friday was a “big day” followed by a quiet weekend overall for Holland Park police.
They reported no break-and-enters in homes or business, and only a single vehicle break-in.
It comes after Holland Park police reported a spike the previous weekend of vehicle break-ins.
Speaking previously, Snr Sgt Doyle said Newnham Rd and Wishart Rd Upper Mt Gravatt, and Ham Rd Mansfield were the “hardest hit” areas, but that cars were also broken into at Palm Ave, Boronia Ave, and Dunrod St Holland Park West.
