In a metal shed outside the house police found an illicit methylamphetamine lab including burners and drug paraphernalia, some of which had McPherson’s fingerprints on them.

Police found 253.89 grams of liquid pseudoephedrine in the shed.

McPherson told police she did not make drugs in the lab, but knew it existed and she had touched the products inside she had been doing “what she was told”.

The court heard McPherson had been a high-level swimmer as a teenager and hoped to qualify for the Olympics. But her dream was dashed after she had to have a back operation after which she was diagnosed with depression.

She started using drugs in about 2013 and is now homeless and a regular meth user.

McPherson was placed on probation for two years, a conviction was recorded.
