Woman arrested in ‘stolen’ rental car and charged with drug and weapon possession
The Lockyer Valley woman plans to plead not guilty to drug and weapons charges after she was arrested in northern Brisbane in a rental car that had been reported stolen.

A Lockyer Valley woman has been charged after allegedly being found with drugs and weapons in a stolen rental car in North Lakes less than two weeks after being released on bail for similar charges.
Stephanie Marie Sangster has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, supplying dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing a weapon and breaching her bail three times.

The court heard Ms Sangster intends on pleading not guilty to the charges. She applied for bail at Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Ms Sangster lives in Plainland but was arrested in North Lakes on Monday after police found a Hertz rental vehicle that had been reported stolen.
Ms Sangster’s lawyer Kristy Bell told the court her client had attempted to extend the rental time of the vehicle but “couldn’t raise anyone at the rental office”.
Police told the court Ms Sangster was found in the vehicle along with restricted medicine she did not have a prescription for, a vial of the drug GBL and a weapon.
Police also looked at her phone which they said had evidence Ms Sangster was supplying dangerous drugs.
In court police objected to bail as Ms Sangster has been charged with 28 offences of a similar nature. She had been released on bail on some of the charges about 12 days earlier.
Magistrate Melanie Ho refused to release Ms Sangster on bail stating she was an unacceptable risk of reoffending.
