The minds behind genius north Brisbane marketplace VEND have just launched their newest venture.
Amy Hinschen and Kyle Steele’s Virgina-based marketplace/greenery/cafe/playground has been a hit with locals since it launched in 2018, bringing local makers and shakers to one for a dream boutique shopping experience.
Now they have tweaked the recipe for their latest gem, White Horse Ranch at Albany Creek.
The rustic cafe, which has just opened, features a new take on dining with a dash of the charm that made VEND the family-friendly destination and success it is today.
“We just wanted to create a beautiful, welcoming space that served great food,” Ms Hinschen said.
“I knew the feel and style I wanted for the Ranch so I designed and sourced everything and Kyle built it.
“Kyle and I are an amazing team so we bounce back and forth from both businesses and keep each other up to date with everything that is happening.
“We always wanted to create multiple businesses. After a few years of hard work and establishing VEND we found ourselves with a little more free time which gave us the opportunity to create White Horse Ranch.
“Luckily we have an amazing team at VEND that allowed us to embark on another venture.
“Joe our fantastic head chef created the menu. He has exactly the same vision when it came to the menu.
“We wanted hearty fresh dishes with a strong focus on local produces and we wanted something for everyone.”
Meanwhile, a gift shop brings an added experience to White Horse Ranch.
“Full of beautiful gifts, homewares and dried flowers and we also stock a lot of local makers.”
And with two business successes under their belt already, the duo is not done yet.
“We definitely have another business adventure that we would love to do and are currently looking for the right space.”
