Three experienced hairdressers have tied as north Brisbane’s best hairdresser, as voted by Quest News readers. WINNERS HERE

Three experienced hairdressers have tied as North Brisbane’s best hairdresser, as voted by Quest News readers.

The winners are: Jenny Barry from Sassy for Hair in Sandgate, Maria George from By George Hairdressing in Aspley, and Sarah Campbell from Sarah Campbell Hair and Makeup in Wilston.

Jenny Barry from Sassy for Hair at Sandgate said it was amazing to win.

She has been a hairdresser for 38 years and has spent 21 of those years at Sassy for Hair in Sandgate.

She specialises in colour and creative cutting.

“I’m a part of a very supportive creative team at Sassy for Hair,” Ms Barry said.

Meanwhile, By George Hairdressing is well-known for its experienced staff.

“Our motivated and highly skilled staff would love to help you, your family and friends with all your hairdressing needs,” its Facebook page reads.

Maria George has been hairdressing for almost 49 years and still enjoys her craft.

She has always specialised in creating a style that suits her clients’ “budget and capabilities” — something that looks good that also suits their lifestyle and can be managed well between visits.

Ms George said she especially understood the needs of mature working woman and applied that to her craft so those clients left her salon looking and feeling great.

Ms George said she was humbled by the news.

Sarah Campbell from Sarah Campbell Hair and Makeup has more than 30 years experience.

“I am delighted, wow what a surprise,” at the news.

“Being a hairdresser to my clients is fun and it can sometimes be sad as you are also part of their life.

“I love looking after my clients and their hair, it is a very special privilege.”
