Mrs Eggins said, “We have certainly appreciated everyone getting behind us and providing children’s books over the last six years, but this year we are asking local community members to support our new drive.
“This year we are focusing on school resources, exercise books, rulers, pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, colouring-in pencils, glue, pencil cases and educational resources.
“The resources provided will still be shipped to PNG through the Buk Bilong Pikinini charity.
“From the donations provided, Buk Bilong Pikinini aims to foster a lifelong love of reading and learning, increase literary rates and empower vulnerable children.
