Sprinter Ashley Wong, long jumper Trezman Banjo and javelin exponent Callum Wallace were all on top in their respective age groupings.

Wong, who broke the 100m and 200m GPS record at the recent GPS Track and Field Championship, is in such a rich vein of form that he has now broken the 16 years 200m state record in his last three races.

Three wins for Ashley Wong at the GPS Track and Field Championships and, in his last three faces, he has broken the year 16 200m state record.

Wong’s 400m is not too shabby either, with his time at the GPS championship good enough to have captured bronze at the All School state titles in Cairns.

NUDGEE WINS T20 CRICKET TITLE

More remarkable is that Wallace has the world leading under 16 javelin throw this year.

Wong’s 200m GPS record was the fourth fastest time this year in the world for an under 16.

A fourth Nudgee athlete, Ethan Petcos, is hovering nicely in his events where he is ranked No. 6 in under 18s.

Last month Nudgee College also won the Junior GPS Track and Field Championship hosted at the college.
