A male motorcyclist has been taken to hospital in a serious condition following a crash in Brisbane overnight – with a witness saying his bike was ‘in a million pieces’ and there was a baby in the car.

Police are appealing for CCTV or dashcam footage after the two-vehicle traffic crash in Enoggera on December 8.

Initial information indicated at about 8.35pm a station wagon was travelling west on Samford Rd when it collided with a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction.

The rider, a 26-year-old Keperra man, was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The driver and his passengers were physically unharmed.

According to a witness, her daughter’s neighbours were driving home from the city turning into a driveway when the accident occurred.

“The couple and their young baby are OK....unsure of the motorbike rider,” she said.

“My daughter said he was thrown into the neighbours yard.

“The bike was in a million pieces.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and asks anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or the moments leading up to it, to contact police.
