Branch managers Sergeant Chris Lambert (Sandgate) and Sergeant Scott Jensen (Zillmere) said they were enjoying the inter-club clash as both teams vie to become the highest fundraisers.
“The money raised from this fundraising event will enable PCYC Sandgate to continue delivering programs and activities to support young people in our local community,” Sergeant Lambert said
Sergeant Jensen said, “Not only is PCYC embRACE a great family event, it is also a fun way to build up friendly rivalry between clubs as each youth team competes for the highest fundraiser crown.”
PCYC Sandgate member 18-year old Jordan Del-Bo, who has been part of the club’s youth management team for more than four years, is looking forward to participating in the event.
“I’m looking forward to PCYC embRACE as I love getting involved in all PCYC events,” Jordan said.
“It’s important to me to support PCYC Sandgate as it provides a safe space, as well as a social outlet for many and a place people can ask for help.”

PCYC Zillmere youth team member Eryn Turner, 16, is also excited about the event.
“I’m looking forward to a fun day out with my team raising money for PCYC Zillmere, and it will also be fun to race against PCYC Sandgate — may the best team win!” Eryn said.
PCYC embRACE participants can choose from three start times — 8am, 9am or 10am — and have one hour to tackle the challenge, completing as many laps as possible.
More than 1000 young people and families are expected to participate, with a free community festival open to all in Dauth Park.
The festival will feature live performances from Liz Conde and Devine our Destiny, a rock wall, traditional indigenous games, food, jumping castles and police demonstrations.
