Brisbane parents are sharing outrageous and shocking stories about walking in on ‘weird teen orgies’ after a recent incident at a Westfield shopping centre was highlighted by a Brisbane mother.

Ashton Grohn said she was at Westfield North Lakes on Sunday, November 6, about 1.30pm, with her two-year-old daughter, when she was confronted by the graphic scene of four teens having ‘group sex’ in a parents’ room.

Since the news broke more people have come forward with similar stories and Queensland Police has now confirmed investigations are underway.

A north Brisbane teenager, 19, who did not want to be named, told Quest News the acts were nothing new and had been going on for years.

“This has been happening since I was in Year 10 at most shopping centres,” she said.

“It’s especially popular during late night shopping.

“I think it has something to do with the rise in OnlyFans.”

Another resident from Brisbane said it happened to them at a Westfield parents’ room too.

“I responded by saying, this is a baby changing room not a baby making room,” they said.

“They were about 14, the boy looked at me and said ‘you’re just jealous’.

“I was gobsmacked.”

Another Brisbane local said they walked in on it happening at a Westfield centre yesterday.

Others have said they also saw the teens taking drugs while participating in group sex.

“Once my partner and mother walked into the parents’ room to change my son’s nappy and there were junkies in one of the cubicles smoking meth,” someone said.

“I watched about six teens walk into the parents’ room at Westfield the other day. They did not even hesitate and looked like this was a regular hangout,” another person added.

“Ick. Doesn’t surprise me. There’s always teens in there,” someone confirmed.

Another Brisbane resident said it was ‘hectic’ but not uncommon.

“Reminds me of the time my partner was looking for me and my son in the parents’ rooms and walked in on some teens doing the hokey pokey,” they said.

“Was mentally scarred that day too so he said out loud to the other parents there ‘there’s some kids f***ing in here’ and left.

“It happens in disabled toilets too … utterly disgraceful, disgusting and disappointing.”

Another local said they’d reported multiple incidents of this at the parents’ room at a Strathpine shopping centre.

“Just some OnlyFans content to pay for their vapes … nothing new it’s the new trend,” someone claimed online.

“Nothing new, used to happen at Garden City too,” another said.

“Almost every shopping centre has this.

“That’s what those eight twelvies (12-year-olds) were doing in Elizabeth toilets that day.

“Happens more often than you think.”

Although the majority found the trend somewhat comical, multiple parents shared online that it was a serious issue.

“A parents’ room isn’t for teens to be doing things that should be left for home business,” one mother said.

“They should have a security guard on to deal with them.”

“Had to drag my babies to the ladies’ room instead. I reported but I doubt security did anything,” another said.

A small minority of comments online were actually defending the teens.

“Teens being teens,” someone said online.

“Awesome to see that nothing’s changed since my friends and I were teens back in the late ‘80s.

“Let teens be teens and enjoy group sex.”

Queensland Police have since confirmed that investigations were underway following a report of inappropriate conduct in a parents’ facility at the North Lakes shopping centre on Sunday, November 6.

Police said they were working with the shopping centre’s management and security teams to make further inquiries into the report.

Anyone with information was asked to contact police

A Westfield North Lakes spokesperson yesterday said they took reports of customer-related incidents very seriously.

“Our team responded appropriately to the report of an incident at Westfield North Lakes and followed it through with our risk and security team and the customer,” they said.

“At this stage we have not been contacted by QPS [Queensland Police Service] in relation to the matter. We would provide full support to any of their inquiries.”
