North Lakes man ‘caught smokey handed’ after walking in front of police with bong

Police were at his house for an unrelated incident when he walked passed them to the kitchen with the drug utensil in his hands.

A man was “caught smokey handed” walking with a bong in front of police who were at his house on completely unrelated matters.

At about 10.40pm on Tuesday, July 14 police attended the North Lakes house Brayden James Kennedy lived at for an unrelated matter.

As they were talking to another person Kennedy walked in front of police into the kitchen holding a bong.

Police then stopped Kennedy and searched the house where they found 58 grams of cannabis.

Kennedy pleaded guilty at Pine Rivers Magistrates Court to possessing cannabis and possessing a drug utensil.

Magistrate Trevor Morgan said Kennedy had been “caught smokey handed” when he walked in front of police with the drug utensil.

He was fined $650, a conviction was not recorded.
