A night of drinking has cost a man nearly $2000.
At around midnight on Sunday, September 6, Luke Graeme Trevascus was walking back to his father’s house in Petrie after a night of heavy drinking.
He walked up to a house, which was not his father’s, opened up the garage and walked inside.

While getting into the garage Trevascus, 22, woke up a person who was sleeping in a room directly above the garage.
That person came downstairs to investigate the noise and saw Trevascus and managed to detain him before police arrived.
Trevascus pleaded guilty at Pine Rivers Magistrates Court to trespassing.
Defence lawyer Brendan Beavon said Trevascus, a father of two, had been heavily drinking and could not remember the night at all.
Mr Beavon said Trevascus believed the house he trespassed in looked similar to his father’s house.
Trevascus was fined $400 and the offence also breached a $1500 good behaviour bond.
Magistrate Trevor Morgan said Trevascus’ alcohol abuse had cost him dearly.
“That’s a $1900 consequence of you getting drunk,” Mr Morgan said.
“Next time you pick up a drink think ‘this might be a $1900 drink’. It might slow you down a bit.”
